Creamy Broccoli Casserole

Is it normal to hate broccoli? My husband despises it! I can't get him to eat it for the life of him. Now I'm not going to lie and say he loves this casserole, he doesn't. The first time I made it he took one bite and said "so much broccoli!!" But for those of us who enjoy broccoli, this is really a treat. I could literally eat this whole pan in one day, it's so delicious! This can be a main dish, but is usually a side (or for me...a snack...)

2-3 heads fresh broccoli, chopped to bite size (OR 1 10 oz bag of frozen broccoli)
1 can cream of mushroom soup (I like the low-sodium kind, so much better!)
1/2 cup grated cheese
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup milk
1 beaten egg
1/2 Cup dry breadcrumbs
2 TBL melted butter

Preheat oven to 350
Boil fresh chopped broccoli in a saucepan for about 5 minutes (or follow frozen package directions to boil)
Remove from heat and drain, Pour into a glass pie pan
In a bowl, beat the egg, then add mushroom soup, cheese, mayo, and milk. Mix until well combined. Pour the mixture over the broccoli in the pie plate, you may have to mix it a little to combine evenly
In a different bowl melt the butter, and mix in the breadcrumbs, then sprinkle on top of the broccoli mixture in the pie plate
Cook for 35-40 minutes until breadcrumbs are brown and mixture is slightly bubbling.
Let it cook a little (it gets kind of molten right out of the oven...duh haha) and enjoy!
