The Best Dessert I've Ever Made (Twix Blondies & Salted Caramel Rolo Blondies))

**I know this is an old post, but I made this for only the second time, but substituted Rolos for twix (just cut them in half), and salted caramel instead of the chocolate drizzle (I used this recipe, substituting vanilla for rum). I call them Salted Caramel Rolo Blondies. Holy holy holy moly. Still the best dessert I've Ever Made!!**

So FINALLY I found some time, and boy do I have a treat for you. I found a new blog I am completely obsessed with. Cookies & Cups is totally awesome. Everything on there is delicious, and it's my new go-to place for desserts. Sooo having said that, I've got a treat today. I'm not joking when I say this is the best dessert I've ever made. This huge, rich, dense, chocolately, caramely pan lasted a little over 6 hours in our house....there are only 3 of us living here...
So courtesy of cookies & cups (seriously go check it out) here are Twix Blondies.

3/4 Cup melted butter or margarine
2 1/4 Cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 Cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp coarse sea salt (or if you are like me, you just use salt from the grinder)
30 mini twix bars coarsely chopped
9 mini twix bars coarsely chopped (these are for the garnish on top!) (about 2 bags total)
1 Cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
*also 1/2 cup melted chocolate chips for drizzle garnish

Preheat to 350 & grease 9x13 inch baking pan. Trust me, you won't want to be halving this recipe...
-First you wanna chop up those gorgeous twix bars. Remember to do the 30, then set aside, then do the remaining 9 and set aside in a different bowl. This is one of the hardest recipes to make without eating as you go, but if you abstain, you will be grateful for the full amount of twix in the end (though that in no way means I did...abstain I mean)
-in a bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk it!
-In a different bowl combine melted butter and brown sugar  until smooth
add eggs one at a time until just combined
-Slowly add the flour mixture until just combined
-then add the chocolate chips and the twix...yummm
-Spread batter into prepared pan and bake about 25-30 minutes until set (but check on it earlier, I think mine took about 22 min, you'll want your toothpick to come out just a little gooey, these would be a shame to burn!)
-Once removed, sprinkle on the remaining 9 chopped up twix, and drizzle with melted chocolate
Cool completely before eating, this takes about 2-3 hours. I know I know, it's hard, but it is so worth it, it is so much better cool, and a heck of a lot less messy.
Then leave me a comment, how did you like these things? I seriously loved them, and haven't made them since, because I am pretty sure I gained at least 5 pounds just from this one dessert, but they are always in the back of my mind!

For some reason my batter came out a lot thicker than yours... I improvised a little so I'll find out in 15 mins if it came out okay
