The BEST Banana Bread

courtesy of ourbestbites.com
I don't know how many of you guys read The Pioneer Woman, but I totally love her. One thing I completely agree with is her abhorrence of bananas. She hates them, and every time I read her commentary about bananas I laugh because I hate them too! I have tried and tried to like them, but they just make me gag!
However I have 2 hungry men at my house and a ton of uneaten bananas and I thought I'd make some banana bread for them.
Well I mustered up the courage to eat a slice, and let me tell you I've eaten a lot of banana bread, all of which I haven't liked, but this banana bread was absolutely delicious, it was gone in a night!

-2 Cups flour
-3/4 tsp baking soda
-1/2 tsp salt
-1 Cup sugar
-1/4 Cup butter, softened
-3-4 medium bananas, mashed
-1 tsp vanilla (or if you're like me, I do like 1 1/4 tsp, you can never have too much vanilla!)
-2 eggs
-1/3 Cup sour cream
-1/2 Cup chocolate chips

preheat oven to 350 degrees, and pam a loaf pan
In a small bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
In a separate bowl mix together the butter and sugar, then add the eggs, banana, vanilla, and sour cream
Add flour mixture until just mixed, don't overmix!
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips, (20 second intervals in the microwave, stirring in between),
then add 1 cup of the batter to the chocolate, and mix.
Pour the non-chocolate batter into the pan, then pour the chocolate mixture on top
take a knife and swirl it around pretty good, to make sure it's going to be nice and swirly (haha)
pop in the oven for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean
Cool 10 minutes in pan, then invert onto a cooling rack.
Then eat! either with butter, or plain!

I have been trying to find a recipe for bananna bread for awhile! This one sounds really good! Especially with the chocolate! I think I'll be giving it a try! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
